Hello, My son is 4 months old and he has been really grumpy before bed lately. It has taken up to 2 hrs to get him to sleep, he cries for up to an hr and when he is asleep he cries as well. In the day he wont sleep without me holding him, and he used to go to sleep by himself. I dont know why he is doing this. I'm thinking teething cos he's been doing this face where he's like sucking on his gums/bottom lip. His gums are really white and look like flesh covered teeth but they have been like that since he was born.
I have tried teething gel but it has done nothing, is anyone else going through this?

my son is 4 months and 7 days and is teething bad and is the same way. He doesnt really like the teethers but what i do is take a clean baby wash cloth wet it, ring it out and put it in the freezer for 5 mins and then rap my finger in it and he chomps away! He just loves it and when he's done that he is finally more comfortable to eat his bottle and sleep. Maybe you should try it and see how your lil guys likes it :)

My 4 month old is teething, I can see and feel the teeth coming through. I had a few days when he was very uncomfortable and gave him tylenol and that really helped. I tried orajel and that just made him mad!

Hi, I have also been told that babies can teeth from birth Or even been born with teeth ...!!! I have a 3 monthold little girl & she has the rash in her mouth, the dribbling heaps, wanting to bite everything & she is also waking up during sleeps SCREAMING & it takes alot to carm her down & i also thought it was teething but im still not sure ..... But family & friend that have babys told me that when she dose to give her Hyland's Teething Relief Tablets... That INDICATIONS: A homeopathic combination for the temporary relief of symptoms of simple restlessness & awakeful irritability due to cutting teeth.... I have tryed it once & it seamed to work but im going to go to the doctors to see if she is cus i dont want to give her anything i dont need to .... Good luck with it all & i hope he gets through teething if & when he is, it goes smothly :) .....

I will say that I have been lucky (knock on wood). My daughter has been teething for about a month now and she doesnt cry much. Her teeth come and go. She has been drooling so much its crazy. The teething rings only help for a little and then she gets bored with them. Anything that is close to her and she can grab it, it goes straight to the mouth.

At night is when its the worst. Only to help her pain I give her .4 of childrens tylenol. Once she gets that its back to a happy baby. The doctor approved .6, but I do not want to give her that much, as it makes her sleepy.

My son seems to be the same way. Everything that even gets close enough for him to grab goes into his mouth. He is drooling so much i cant seem to keep his shirts dry. I asked my mom if it was possible for him to be teething and got told no way. I think she is wrong! Every baby is different and even if the teeth havent broken skin they still hurt. Poor thing I gotta find a solution.

i have been told that babies can teeth from birth, that just because their teeth haven't broken through the skin yet, they can feel them rumbling underneath their gums almost. my son is 15 weeks and has been teething for about 5 weeks or so, white gums, anything he can grab is going in his mouth, dribbling a lot and a little rash around his mouth. i think they start sooner than people think!

my daughter is 4 months and was like that for about 2 weeks and then stopped i gave her those water teething things u put in the fridge to cool and she seemed to stop crying i also thought she was teething but have no idea lol i also gave her a wet facewasher and she sucked on it that also helped i dont no if it was very hygienic but it was clean i think it just kept her occupied and she forgot about what she was crying about
