I'm doing two seperate parties. One in NC and one here at home in SC. The one in NC is a party for my grandfather and my son together, and the one in SC is just for my son.
We're doing a Superman theme, and my fiance's sister is making him a personalized Superman cake. We dont have many friends with children, so it will mostly be my family and my fiances family that lives around the area. Probably a cook-out by the lake and letting a few of the older kids swim.

Anybody in the Olympia/Lacey, Washington area? Looking for some friends. If you have a child who is almost a year old that would be nice too. We have been here for 7 months and I have met some women, but would like to meet more. Thank you.

My daughters birthday is on 6th June and we are having a pretty decent sized bash :) Our immediate family is fairly large so when you add close friends and playgroup mums and bubs you have a nice crowd.
I have hired a little council owned cottage for a few hours wheich is on the side of a lake. We'll just do a bbq style with sausages in bread etc to keep costs down.
My birthday is on 9th June so it will also be an excuse to celebrate my birthday with friends as well :)

I always go all out, custom invitations and banners the whole 9! To me its a celebration of life, my precious little one and all of her accomplishments! This year we are doing her party with a bouncy house and friends and family (we both have big families) BUT also right before the party we are having both kiddos (my son is 4 and daughter will be 1) dedicated; thus her 1st birthday is sort of a reception for the dedication and her party. The way I see it, they are only young once so make the most of it as you can. Msg me if you want some ideas for party themes (I do that... I make custom invitations and such). Good luck!

I'm not sure yet my little guys birthday is on a friday so I'm thinking of going to the park across from my home and having friends and family there for BBQ and finger foods. Of course the classic Birthday boy cake just for him to get messy with and then another one for everyone else. this park has a splash pad fishing pond and usual slide swings and so on. Makes me to sad to think of his first birthday it is also when I have to go back to work and boy don't they just grow up to fast?! however what a wonderful year it has been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My little guy will be 1 June 2nd, Sat. June 4th I am planning a little party with family and some close friends. I am getting pictures together from his first year to play as a slideshow on our digital photo frame and play some video of his first year on the television. I am going to have shredded chicken or sloppy joe's in the crock pot and a few appetizers set out. I am also going to have little bowls of cheerios, puffs set out too since it is his frist birthday. The theme I am going to do is Transportation since that is the theme in his nursery. I am also thinking about the Rubber Duck game and let the kiddies pick a duck and win a prize such as bubbles, a book, something little kids loves prizes and that way everyone is a winner. Hoping for a nice day outside. Good luck with your planning.

We're having a party, but it'll be a book party. If anyone wants to bring a gift, they can bring a book for the lil man and a 2nd book to donate.

My daughter's birthday is the 8th which falls on a Wednesday so we are just having our parents and siblings over for dinner and ice cream cake. Saturday we're having the BIG bbq party with activities for the kids. We have a really big family and invited all our grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. and the number came out to 85!!! Luckily we have a big yard so we can hold everyone but we asked for the guest to bring their own drinks and chairs since we are providing the meat and side dishes. I'm only doing cupcakes on the 11th, no cake. I figured I would go big on her 1st since it's more for the family and all her other birthdays she can pick her friends and what she wants to do.
