My baby girl Cambria all of the sudden stopped nursing after leaving her for a few hours. All of the sudden she wont nurse and will only take a bottle. About a month ago so decided to do the opposite and would only nurse. Does anyone have any suggestions? Before this she would latch on then break latch and keep doing this over and over. Almost like she was playing. Any help would be appreciated. Cambria is almost 3 1/2 months old.

She is probably teething.... I would contact someone in La Leche Legue so they can help you and its free of charge.

I have read about something called a nursing strike. Here is a link that explains a bit more about it.

My little one did this for a bit and it was due to a stuffy nose. Also you could be eating something that may be making your milk taste funny. It is easier for babies to eat from a bottle, they don't have to work as hard to get the milk out. If that is the case you could try a supplemental nursing system (Medela makes one). It is a product that helps encourage babies to continue breast feeding. I wish you the best of luck!
