My baby boy will be 10 months this week. He is starting to eat some table foods. He likes to eat when I eat. I was just curious as to what kind of table foods I should be trying to give him. Preferably easy to make. Any ideas? Vegetables included please.

As long as he can chew up or gum the food eating what you make is fine. Th more you expose him to they more he will eat when he is older. I did this with all four of my childen and now there are only afew things that they won't eat. I always fed them directly off myplate. Now they will pick fuits and veges before something unhealthy.

depending on how many teeth he has most food will work off your plate,my 10 month old is my youngest and always wants to eat when he sees his brothers or myself eat, mashed potaoes, soft veggies ( i would move slow on broccoli and like gassy veg at first) go with your gut, as long as peices are small enough not to choke him its probably ok supervised!=0)

He should be able to eat everything that you do. Since the only meal I actually cook during the day is dinner I try to feed my daughter simple yet healthy meals.

Toast, pancakes and waffles are great for breakfast. I make a batch of pancakes and waffles cook them and freeze the leftovers. Just pop them in the toaster and it's a homemade breakfast. I usually make them with whole wheat flour and not as much sugar and they taste just fine. I will also give her cut up fruit. I also feed my daughter oatmeal, and cream of wheat.

For lunch you can give him anything that is soft and easy for him to chew. Broccoli, cauliflouer, peas, carrots, green beans, sweet potato, squash, zucchini, avocado, cheese, yogurt, peaches, strawberries, banana, applesauce, pears, raspberries. Give him a fruit, vegetable, and then some sort or starch if he is still hungry. I will boil some pasta or give her leftover rice or potatoes. If I'm in a rush sometimes it is just cheerios or puffed wheat. My daughter is not quite ready for dairy so she only gets it about every 3 days but that is something that you can subsitute in place of the starch.

For dinner she eats what I eat which is usually a vegetable, meat and starch. I give my daughter everything just cut up small and she has never had a problem. I also only give her meat every 2 days.

I try my best for her to get a serving from at least 3 food groups for every meal. I try and mix it up and give her a variety so what I usually buy a larger amount of things and freeze them. I will buy zucchini cut it up and freeze it so it is easy to just warm up when needed. I will buy sweet potatoes cook them and freeze them. I will buy a squash poke a few holes in it throw it in the oven, let it cool and freeze it. When fruit is in season I will buy a little extra and freeze it so I always have some just incase.

give him what ever you are eating. Its a great way to keep your self eating well since you have to keep in mind your 10 month old is eating too.

I give Logan everything we eat, except for on our few splurges of not wanting to cook and getting somethin quick.

Logan eats all vegetables, pasta, steak, pork, roast beef, LOVES cauliflower, peices of cheese, yogurt, oatmeal, toast, fruits, sheppards pie, stew , you name it he gets it.

Unless you eat terribly, its easy !

I usually give him a good portion of anything he can manage as a finger food, but will coarsly grind up part of the meal to spoon feed as well.

I bought these silicone personal steamers ( starfrit , found em at walmart) and they are awesome for making small portions of steamed vegetables. You can also cook meat in those bad boys too. Super healthy meal in 6 minutes :)

Also when making things like Sheppards pie, lasagna etc, I make sure to freeze some small portions and keep them handy in the fridge for those days when you need something quick. Just nuke and serve. I also have some chopped up and ground up fresh fruits in the freezer too to add to cereal, yogurt and oatmeal for a splash of extra flavour.
