My 7 month old is insanely clingy to me! She was coliky when she was younger and seemed to have gotten better until recently. Shes always one that loves to be held but lately shes been screamingggggggg her head off! Ive tried the scream it out method several times and she will keep going until she throws up and screams some more! I cant handle that... I know that shes also teething and everything, so im sure the growing pains + teething has made her more cranky but I dont know if maybe shes still coliky or if she really is just being spoiled!? Shes fine when we pick her up, when she is eating, or if i sit on the floor and play with her (as long as she can physically touch me) but otherwise I get veryyyy few points in the day where I can have her in an exersaucer, floor mat, or walker and have her be ok with it. Sometimes I can have her on the floor and her 3 y/o sister will be playing with her but if everyone walks out of the room, even for two seconds, she starts screaming her head off again! Im also referring to the screaming as that high pitched, ring your ears and head, even if youre on the other end of the house, kind of screaming!!!

Any ideas, tips, advice, etc...?

When my husband is home on weekend, mine will cry for just a minute when I walk out f room then seems to settle down and behave normally. I stay out of room for an hour he is fine. Then when I come back in, half the time he continues being fineness and playing, the other half he starts crawling to me ad crying in that terrible sounding cry. That makes me think it is a bit being spoiled, but I thought this was still too young to be spoiled. He did just get first tooth this last week so I am sure another one is coming, but he has been this way for last 2 months. Can't just be teething that whole time. I am a stay at home mom, not like I can give him a lot of time independent from me. But, maybe that is what he needs. My family does not live near us and we just moved 3 months ago, so do not have a lot of babysitting options. Hmmm, maybe I need to try something on this order though.

I cant really do the scream it out method at night either, for the same reasons. I lay her in the bed with me, prop her up on a pillow, and feed her a bottle... When shes done, she will roll over and grab onto my arm or hand and knock right back out!

I deal with the same thing but in the middle of the night. My daughter will wake up screaming that scream and nothing but walking around with her makes her stop witch is causing extreme sleep deprivation for me because i can not do the scream it out method because she wakes up my two year old witch just makes it worse. If you have any suggestions or trick let me know.

I don't have a tip yet, but my son is same way. He's been very cranky and clingy this last month and prior was happiest easiest baby compared to 2.5 year old sister. I did take to doctor 2 weeks ago and said he had ear infection both ears. We should never feed with him laying flat, which occasionally I would let him hold his own bottle while laying on floor. But, he also has allergy purple shiner looking eyes, so he said that could be case as well. Took antibiotic for 10 days. Two weeks later, ears better, he was better for several days , now is back to clingy and cranky unless he is being entertained or fed. I guess I am going to try this baby Zyrtec after all and see if this helps.
