~CoM Convention Update~

oh - and wherever it's at, advertise locally so tons of local moms can get in on it and maybe start using CoM. :D

1. only in US. All I can afford. Don't have a passport anymore.
2. Convention - to me they include samples from companies [new lines of things for ppl to test] as in bottles/cups/diapers/baby foods etc. the "stuff" that makes our lives easier. then there's the information. lactation consultant awesome. maybe someone dealing with depression after birth - like a self help motivational, maybe even a spice it up with your spouse motivational. feel like a woman, not a mothering machine. potty training maybe? just pick things women struggle with as a mom and need help with. there's a shitload of things
3. this winter, i will still be nursing and stinker hasn't taken a bottle yet and...it's bam, right here's winter. no time for me to make sure i can save and get there by the time it's set and honestly, we need more prep than two months. i actually think next FALL is a better time. like late summer so it's not ungodly hot anywhere.
5 - ok. i've already been called dibs on. lol. Yes, sharing to save money always a good thing. although....i'm expecting to see that coffee pot!
6. three days to a week if it's all of com. women can come and go whenever they can fit it in their schedules but make a majority of it and main, big speakers ont he weekend since it's likely that's when most can get there.

It would just be so inspiring and awesome to see so many moms from different walks of life who are all going through or have gone through the same things!

Oh i like the idea of a breast feeding specialist! and also if she can help with women who somehow feel inadequate for not being able to breast feed, what the best solution and formula for them could be.

And yes, i'll be happy to cute and paste

That would be awesome Barb, could you cut and paste? It would be great to have it in Lets make it happen! I love the suggestions that you had for the speakers. Some of them we already have in mind, but I love the ones about food and nutrition! Fantastic! Also thinking of having a breastfeeding specialist. We will see!

#2. I would like to see a guest speakers on parenting, perhaps one on nutrition and meal prep, someone to talk about pets and kids, a nurse to talk about healthcare.

#3. I'm good anytime so i'd just suggest if it is going to be winter have it in Vegas, if it is going to be summer, have it in Chicago.
#4.. yes.. I call dibs on Amy!
#5, i prefer Chicago, but if it is going to be wintertime, i'd rather it be in Vegas.
#6, i think a long weekend would be good.. so say if doing it in the summertime, try for 4th of July, or Labor Day, if in the Winter try for MLK Day or President's day weekend.
