So I was shopping today and saw a shirt for little girls that "pop it like it's hot"....I really don't care that it had two pop tarts and a toaster..we all know the songs drop it like it's hot..which isn't talking about food I'll tell ya that...and pop that...ahem..you get it..so I found it offensive...

What clothing have seen that belongs in the 25 and up section?

Do you think clothing has crossed the line for kids?

Would you have bought that shirt for your daughter or am I overreacting?

I actually see this crap on little girls, not just in the store....sydneys dad and stepmom bout her shoes with a little heel and at 8 I didn't want her to wear them, but she loved them so much So I let her wear them a couple times to school with dresses on music days and to church, but I buy her age appropriate clothes, if it says anything it's cool, or rad or princess or daddy's girl..but never anything to do with licking, flipping etc....even the makeup on little girls...playing dress up is fine, but I don't let her wear eyeshadow etc out the house. My 14 year old niece is 5'6 with a F cup chest and it's next to impossible to find her clothes that don't double as a strippers pre performance outfit...I give her clothes I can't fit anymore..since I'm losing weight and the shirts only fit her because she's so top heavy..can you imagine her in a how many licks shirt, and to be honest who of these kids even remembers the tootsie pop owl, so it is for adult amusement...

Wish i could understand the why.

I mean, obviously there is a market for these clothes or manufacturers wouldn't create and sell them.. SOMEONE is buying them and thinking it is okay.. probably someone like my granddaughter's mom.

If i know the WHY maybe i can somehow convince her it's not the best idea to be putting her in "hoochie mama" shorts or t-shirts that say "with a shirt this cool, who needs pants?" or yeah, even the "how many licks?" really?!

I don't buy logo shirts or those with statements. My daughter has a hideous one given to her that says "My heart belongs to Mommy"...gag.

I am pretty strict with my girls and their clothing. Skirts and dresses that don't go to the knee require leggings or shorts under (if they bend over and I see Dora panties, grab some leggings!). Big fan of skorts.

I don't like anything on a child that an adult would wear to a club. Amazingly, there's alot out there that looks just like that! I have NEVER bought my girls shoes with heels. That's just absurd. They can wear princess heels for dress-up and that's it.

Little kids should be allowed to be...little! Young, innocent, sweet. They have no idea what those pun shirts mean and it is a ridiculous way for adults to get a laugh.

My brother has great graphic T's though...Picture of a scarecrow in a field that says "Outstanding in my field"...awesome

No, you are not overreacting.

When my kids were little I never bought shirts with logos, statements, slogans or cartoon characters on them. They are my children, not my billboards.

I also avoided "adult" clothing for my kids in general, including high heeled shoes - what 3 yo needs heels?

All daddy wanted was a blow job by pulp kitchen ......we actually bought it for the mum as a joke ...she thought it was funny , she never put it on her child and we never intended it to go on her child.

I don't buy my daughter's clothes at Target anymore because of stuff like that. Last summer I ended up buying her boy's shorts the BABY girls shorts were hoochie shorts. I hate words on clothes for kids.

Now I totally wear graphic tees. But they are about as nerdy as you can get. One says "I'm ninja (you can't see me)." But for some reason all kid ones have some innuendo or are just plain offensive.

Well I have a girl with crazy dads, cousins, and uncles..when we go shopping sometimes I throw little skirts in the cart just to raise his blood pressure..lol. Lil ho line..lol, that's a good name for it. In Philly 85%of the kids get their outfits made for them..my brothers date had a dress made with her whole stomach and back out with one piece of material connecting the top to the bottom and then the bottom was long but had a slit to her eyebrows in it..my dad said.."I really don't like that dress, if that's what you call it..Billy..give her your jacket.."..lol then she had the glitter on her stomach. In Philly we shut the block down with cars because family and friends come eat and take pictures on prom night so it's like a big underage semi peep show..lol..

Mynneice is 14 and her chest are F now and it's hard to find her clothes that aren't either for grand mom or what strippers where before they go on stage..my mom made my sister's prom dresses and they were surely covered correctly..lol

What's "amh"?

I went shopping with my girlfriend Penny for her two girls.. at the time they were 8 and 10 years old. We were shopping at Kohl's and i'll tell you what, you would have thought we were shopping in victoria's secret! It was like they had brought out the lil ho line. Short short short ass skirts. panties with writing on them that a girl wears UNDER the short short short skirt.. panties like "juicy" and "hot" WTF?!! these are under 10 year olds! in the Jr's departments!! They had halter tops and half tops, tube tops.. there isn't anything to PUT in those tops!! low riding hip hugger jeans.. i tell you what, that shopping trip right there let me know why i was blessed with a boy child. Our biggest fight was "did you change your underwear?" or "no jeans with holes to school" He could care less!

Another time we were at Doug's Aunt's house. Her daughter brought out her dress she was going to wear to prom to show everyone. I sincerely thought what she showed us was the slip to the dress.. nope, that was the whole dress.. OMG!! My mother in law leaned over to me and said "and that is why God gave me boys"

oh wow. what are some people thinking? I didn't even like the owl ones for tootsie pop that just says "how many licks". I know it may not be meant to be sexual...but all adults see it that way.

Shoes - some little shoes I don't like. We call them 'bad bitch boots' - not appropriate for kids. like the black leather looking ones that go to knees. NOT for kids. Some of the two piece swimsuits I don't like for certain ages.

oh - tshirts i saw that aren't appropriate: a pinata that says "i'd hit that".

"living proof that mom puts out"

and the one i found most offensive was "i'm not ignoring you, i have autism".

all those in my small lil town i saw people - correction:kids - wearing.

ps - no way on this good green earth would i have bought that for her. Although, today i'd buy her one that said "stinker" and a picture of a skunk!
