Two sisters flying to visit their father who recently suffered a heart attack were allegedly kicked off a Southwest flight after one began to cry.

Ricci Wheatley and Robin Opperman were on a Dallas-bound flight from Oakland Wednesday, when Wheatley became anxious because she is afraid of flying.

"I broke down and started to cry and I'm a little bit afraid to fly, so I said to the stewardess as she was passing, 'When you're going to be serving, I'll have a glass of wine,' Wheatley told ABC 7 San Francisco.

The flight attendant told Wheatley she'd had enough, even though Wheatley hadn't had any wine on the plane.

According to Opperman, Wheatley was crying softly as to not disturb her fellow passengers.

After the "misunderstanding" with the flight attendant, the sisters say they were removed from the flight.

Southwest didn't comment on the situation, but did pay for a hotel room and meal that night as well as re-book them to Dallas on Thursday.

This is only the most recent case of airline passengers getting kicked off flights. In April, a Horizon Air passenger was kicked off his flight for being too tall. In June, a man was taken off a United flight for using the F-word, while a college student got the boot from a US Airways flight that same month because his pants

should things like these be grounds to remove someone from a flight???

Oh, is that the last story? the paragraph cut off, i wasn't sure what was going on with his pants.. so they kicked him off for baggy pants?! That doesn't make sense. However, the guy using the "f word".. i think that would depend on who he used it on. If he's talking to his fellow passenger and says "she was fucking hot" vs telling the attendant to shut the fuck up... it's also too vague for me to form an opinion on.

and yes, some have complexes..trust me..lol. i worked in the airport for years and i have flown often, sydney's dad has been with US airways for about 13 or more years now and he can tell you. sometimes when itake my kids to put them on they are rude, until i bring them back to reality, like looking down their noses becauses they are non-revs(fly for free)..and im like really..you dont pay to fly either so whats the big deal..they are yes and no maam by the time im done..lol. i have seen people with extreme anxiety mix that with some worry and bad news and they can seem as if they need something to calm down..or have had it already. i dont think she was drinking before because they called it a misunderstanding and then paid their hotel and re-booked them, if she had been drunk they would not have paid for those things.

what about the baggy pants though. i have seen people fly with shorts that wre barely there..chest pooping out...they dont have a dress code that i know of so why are they being like this...

because there are restaurants and bars in some airports so if someone gets on the plane and staff beleive they are acting in a way that would suggest they had too many before boarding they can refuse them drinks on the flight. so i guess because she was anxious and asked the flight attendent for a glass of wine when they began serving, she figured she had started drinking before boarding...which she hadn't.

Something doesn't seem right about this story. It says she hadn't had any wine.... while on the plane... why state that? Had she had wine before she boarded to calm her nerves? If the attendant had reason to believe she was drunk, she's only going to get worse as the cabin pressure changes. And the airline is responsible for all the passengers.. not just one.

I know i've cried many times on an airline. I've ordered drinks. But i know i will be refused the service of the flight if they feel i'm too drunk to fly.

I just think there is more to this story that we aren't getting. Although it could just be that some Attendant has a god complex and likes to flex her muscles.
