I know pumpkin pie is a tradition fall dessert, but this recipe is excellent all year long! Especially the next after i has been refrigerated with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Pumpkin Pie Dessert

1 can Libby's pumpkin pie filling (15 ounces)

1 can evaporated milk (12 ounces)

1 cup sugar

1 stick butter melted

1 box butter recipe cake mix (18.25 ounces)

3 eggs

pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon or nutmeg to taste

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit. Mix all ingredients except butter and cake mix. Pour into an oiled 9 in x 13 in pan. Sprinkle entire dry cake mix eveny over mixture. Pour melted butter over dry cake mix. I usually sprinkle a little cinnamon on top. Bake for one hour or until a knife inserted into center comes out clean. Can be served warm, but when regrigerated the "top" becomes harder much like a cookie.
