The best advice you can give your kids (of any age) is to play. For our young ones between 0 - 6/7 years of age it is critical for the development of gross motor and fine motor skills.

Let your kids climb trees, get dirty and all those sort of things we did as kids. Yes TV MIGHT have advantages ??? but that does not teach your child to socialise, get to know his abilities and experience things.

Your child is that, that you introduce him to and allow him to do.

I certainly agree with you Marlizet. They grow up so quickly and before we know it they don't want play the same way they did as when they were 4 years old. I certainly don't want to have any regrets later in life about not allowing my daughter sufficient play-time. It is certainly a very important aspect in the policy of the Pre-Primary School that she attends, for which we are immensely grateful.

Keep up your hard work in encouraging this important aspect of a child's live!
