Does anyone have any ideas for a 11 year old boys birthday party? I am trying to keep the cost really low and to a minimum of a few boys.

I had a fear factor party for my son's 12th b-day last year. It was really cheap and they had so much fun. 3 rounds, eating awful looking but edible stuff(baby food, hot peppers, mushrooms covered in slimy sauce, anchovies), who can keep their hand in a bucket of ice the longest, and searching for the right key to a lock in a bucket full of crickets. All I had to buy was 500 crickets ($1 for 100 at the pet store), a couple bags of ice, and some baby food and anchovies. The grand prize was $5.00. Amazing what 12 yr olds will do for 5 bucks, lol! I made his b-day cake myself, some coolaide and popcorn and they spent the rest of the evening playing the wii! A few spent the night. My son said all his friends were talkin about how great it was the next day at school. Hope this helps with 11 year old boy birthday party ideas!

I have the best party idea for 11 year old boys - did this with my son and his friends loved it.

Minute to win it games - find them online. You can pretty much find stuff around the house to do the games.

We did around 10 games and had point won for each game played - the boys then took their points to the "candy shop" that we made in the dining room and they could purchase prize candy for their grab bag!

We added a game of our own because my son has those nerf guns and set up some targets (cans) that had to be knocked down.

Lots of fun and kept the boys focussed!

Hope this helps!

This is a great for boys... a home party with games and make your own ice cream sundaes.. A game I have played with large groups is "Indoor Snowball Battle" Divide group into two teams. Use masking tape to divide the room - Use two lines of masking tape separated by about 3-4 feet (so the kids cant smack someone on the other team when throwing) Team one behind the first line, team two behind second line...space in the middle is neutral. Give each team lots of newspaper, or tissue paper. Give each team three minutes to make the paper into "snowballs". Then countdown to start the snowball battle. Kids just whip the paper balls at the other side. When time is up everyone has to freeze. Then count the paper balls on each side the team with the fewest balls on their side wins. Have them throw balls into garbage can when counting.
And if you can be outside, this was a HUGE hit at our last picnic -Kan Jam http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RJ4...
Good Luck and have fun!

Hmm, im 11. for cost down do you have a couple of party lights? A movie and some snacks? Just have cake a few good friends. The film should depend on who is coming. I would if i was doing that have a fairly harmless movie like green hornet or Avatar depending on who turned up unless it was like me and 2 close friends then we'd watch hangover or something...

I took the 16 seat limo, rented bar with a professional DJ and buffet approach. If cost really low means £600?

I have a just dance and Wii play date. Only 3 boys. Was fun. Plus we invite family and they pass by taking a piece of my hand made cake and giving blessings and hugs to the birthday boy.
He got money enough to buy a Tablet PC.

Bowling and pizza can be a cheap 11 year old boy birthday parties! Sleepovers with a tent, sleeping bags, marshmellows and hotdogs are always a hit;  Even indoors at this time of year. Fishing trips or hiking and a picnic in honor of his day, ummm...a couple hours of ice time for a friendly game of hockey or skating with hot chocolate. A homemade paintball park is fun as well. I guess thats all I can add, good luck!

Just another idea: for my son's 11th birthday, I invited the boys in his class (About 10 or so) to come over and play video games. We have a Wii on the big TV, but I borrowed my friend's Xbox 360 and PS2 and put them on smaller TV's in the basement. they played for about an hour or so. They also brought their DS's or PSP's.  then we had pizza outside. they ran around and then we had cake.  I ordered the cake from Stew Leonard's and had it be a "photo cake" but I made a JPEG of Mario and other nintendo characters with it sayin "Happy Birthday" written in the Super Mario font (available for free online). Then i placed small nintendo figures on the cake to decorate  and also gave each kid one for their goody bag (about $5 each).

They all said it was the BEST birthday party ever and it only cost me the pizza, cake and goody bags!

My son turned 11 back in October. We had a bowling party, and so that everyone would have a score, for those who don't/can't bowl, we had them put the bumpers down. It was great! Had about 12 kids there....made him give me a list of 15 tops that he wanted to invite. (we had to sit down and have a talk about finances and the difference between what he wants and what he needs, and what he wanted as his "big ticket" item)

But anyway, the bowling alley can be a inexpensive party because they include food for each child and the one I went too takes coupons so the adults were able to bowl as well. So if he likes bowling that could be an options.

Thanks for all the 11 year old boy birthday party ideas. We decided on doing a manhunt with capture the flag with only a few friends at a local park on a Friday after school. They then will come back to our house and have a BBQ and play for as long as we can handle it.

My son is 11 and the last 2 parties he has had has been sleep overs. We buy pizza and they just chill out playing video games or just around the house. Then wtch a movie have a pillow fight if room and sleep. We feed them breakfast and send them home. Very inexpensive party and only a handful of boys were allowed to come.

Difficult age for parties I find.Either a couple of friends for the cinema and burger/pizza after.Or a brilliant home alternative, let them have a pretend cinema at home.Buy/rent/borrow a recent DVD/FILM and let them chill out with popcorn, snacks etc,can do home made food or call out for Pizza.Makes them feel grown up!

I would suggest to have your 11 year old boys birthday party at your local movie theater - just go for the smallest package they have. I once did an indoor race track party for my son and scheduled it for 3-5pm on a Sunday afternoon, and I worded the invitation so that parents knew that there was going to be cake, ice cream and beverages served.
