My almost 11 yr. old has started stuttering this summer and over the last couple of weeks I have noticed some shoulder/ facial tics. Has anyone had any experience with transient tics? He is healthy otherwise. He had ear issues as a baby but that was all resolved over 7 years ago.

Get him in to a doctor to have this checked out, especially since he developed them suddenly this summer and hasn't had a stuttering/tic problem prior to this. These types of problems tend to be nuerological (think brain!) in nature and can only be properly assessed by a physician. Good luck!
