In this age girls love dressing up and grooming themselves, I think a spa party is a good idea. Girls will have a blast pampering themselves while celebrating birthday. You can choose pastel colors for decorations like soft pink, lavender, sky blue and soft yellow. Place lot of plush pillows and scented candles. Serve them cup cakes with lipstick topper or nail paint topper, you can also serve a facial design spa appetizer. http://www.mybirthdaysupplies.com/blog/f... Make different stations where girls can get nail art done, pedicure or may be make up. Give them cucumber slices to relax, and hand them same color bathrobes for a happy camera click!

IT REALLY DEPENEDS ON WHAT YOUR CHILD IS INTERESTED IN IF SHE LIKES:FOR EXAMPLE ONE DIRECTION YOU COULD DO A PARTY THEMED ON THAT OR U COULD DO A SPA OR MAKEOVER PARTY IF SHE WANTS A GIRLS ONLY PARTY OR WHATEVER

The beach is an awesome idea. Let your kid invite 5-10 people, less than five is just strange. At most day beaches kids under the age of 12 are free. So not a very expensive party. I'm just letting you guys know, that if you throw your kid a book themed party, they are going to cry. Good luck!

When my daughter turned 11 her friends were the most important thing to her and still are. She loves to have a sleepover every year with a few friends, once I even got a huge hotel room to host the sleepover in. Also going swimming for a few hours and then going to a fancy restaurant is very fun yet grown up!

Freeze dancing is a great game for girls and boys this age. Choose some age appropriate music that the birthday girl loves. Get some glow in the dark sticks or necklaces. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000IZ9... Play the music and flash the overhead lights off and on... which creates a strobe effect kids love. Or get a real strobe light. Then every so often turn off the music and everyone has to freeze. Anyone who moves is sits out until next song. Last dancer standing wins. Also, my teen son and his buddies love the Just Dance game http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D7UH... YOu could make teams randomly by pulling names out of a hat.

Things like home sleepovers with a slight theme ex.

movie/ performance (copy a reality show, make music videos, things like that),

classic sleepover (play classic games like truth or dare, would you rather., add some various new games like "Totes Honestly", "Guilty Party", and "One Pass", and fill the empty time with games like "who said it", "party host", and "Freeze")

and for a final party theme spa day (this one doesn't really need a description

P.S sorry if some of the party games are unfamiliar my daughter help and she got them from the Canterwood Crest series.

My daughter also turns 11 this weekend... and bowling party for us as well! :D Although getting to the bowling idea was quite difficult. We searched for months filtering different 11 year old birthday party ideas for girls... from spa to hawaiian luau to skating etc. My older daughter is turning 13 in April and her first party with boys. She had decided to do a 70's disco party. Everyone will dress up in 70's attire and we will mix in 70's music along with today's current hits, for an activity my daughter wants to make disco balls for everyone to take home. Then after the boys go home the girls are all sleeping over. We have Abba Sing Star and will be watching Staying Alive. :D Good Luck and remember to just have fun!

I was just going to ask kinda the same thing about 11 year old birthday party ideas for girls. Glory and Sandy gave me a couple of good ideas. my daughter's party is this weekend n I still wasn't sure what they were going to actually do...but like Sandy said "just let them hang out" ... with a few ideas of course is good. I got the main idea from my sisters...which is to have it at a hotel. Though they can't swim cause the place doesn't have an indoor pool. they can do the dancing/karaoke thing, let the do each others nails hair n make up, buy some pizza, watch movies n eat popcorn, n of course CAKE!! I think they will have a great time! U should do it too...^_^//

sorry...forgot to add. my daughter will be turning 11.

and I am in ♥ with priceline.com I got a $85 (per night not including taxes etc) 4 star hotel for that night for $57 incl. taxes n everything.

My 11 year old's birthday party is for both Girls and Boys, we did the spa party last year because we only invited girls. We were thinking of a mystery party, Clue has a new "Murder Mystery" series of games we were thinking of picking up. Not sure what other things to add to the theme though.

For my younger daughter, we did a Karaoke party one year. It was a hit! I bought poster board and cut them into mini signs and put out a bunch of markers. That way, the kids who aren't comfortable doing karaoke can make signs for the singers (for instance, "You're the next American Idol!). That kept them occupied for a while. I also made them all cds with all of the current popular songs and let them decorate the cd cases as an activity.

For my 11 year old girl's birthday party, I took her and 3-4 friends to the mall, gave them each a little cash and let them walk around by themselves (in a specified area and they weren't allowed to separate). They thought this was great and I was at the mall, just not following them around. We got our nails done, went to a movie and then went home for a sleepover. If you don't want to pay for the movie and nails, you could do make-overs at the house and do mani/pedi's for the girls. Are there going to be boys there? That part confused me a little...

I've found that girls this age mostly want to shop and just hang out, as opposed to having everything planned. Hope this helps with 11 year old birthday party ideas for girls!
