I was recently at a party and some of the adults were calling the kids of around 10-14 yrs old sexy. None of them were wearing something a "sexy" 30 year old would wear. I think most of them think it's a word that compliments people, but I think that just makes the kids feel self-conscious and uncomfortable. If they think "sexy" is a word that they think means "grown-up", that's definitely NOT what it means. I would appreciate it if they used words such as "beautiful", "cute", and the "Oh, you look so grown-up!", but sexy is not something you describe children. I don't mind adults calling other adults "sexy", but adults shouldn't be calling kids that. And for the most part, you don't even know what saying that one four-letter word could do to children...
