My daughter has a blog, www.jojoschoice.blogspot.com . She's 13 and an excellent kid. She just started her blog and of course she doesn't give any personal info. Mom is her only follower so far, so go ahead and check it out!

Hi Lisa, there is a really awesome site: www.missOandfriends.com.
Miss O & Friends is by girls, for girls. It's the coolest place to play, create, learn, exchange ideas, get help, compare experiences, get published and much more ... all within a safe and fun environment. Girls can even get published here. The best part of all is that it's completely safe and they have gone through the necessary steps to be 100% COPPA compliant.
You may also want to check out www.missomoms.com.
Follow them both on Facebook to stay up on what's happening.
Hope this helps!

BOOK CLUB BLOG
my daughter created a book club blog: http://erinsbookwormclub.blogspot.com/
The girls will read and discuss 1 book a month. Erin will donate her read books to a local children’s group home and encourage all members to do the same. In addition to book discussions there will be games, author interviews and writing contests. This blog is brand new so maybe your daughter can contribute ideas.

I have a daughter around that age and she really likes Instagram... She has to use it carefully as though it's like Facebook but with more privacy, my daughters friends all have Instagram. It's sort of like Pinterest but designed for that age group.

I'm not as mom, I'm 12 years old aswell (almost 13) so I might be able to help.
It isn't a website but you can download this game onto the computer called Peggle, its really good!
Another good game is atmosphere. On atmosphere you can use bricks , grass, hazards, gates alsorts to create a game level to play, or get a friend to play it. It's really fun creating the levels. Again another game you have to download.
# Instagram - like facebook but you uplopad pictures.
# Howrse.com - I have never been on it but my friend is 12 and she loves it!
# Run - You can play run on albinoblacksheep or kongregate.
# Red ball - Make sure you play it on king.com bc you get more levels.
# SceneKids.com - You can Safely, Talk to people, make new friends, blog, upload pictures
# Friv.com - LOTS of different games of all ages to play.
I hope this helped! Please let me knoe if your daughter has tried any of these games/websites:)

My eleven year old daughter goes on:
And that's basically what I see her go on her laptop. There's also this app called Instagram that is very similar to Facebook, but you use pictures to post instead of statuses. It's quite safe, and I've told my daughter to make her account private and only allow people she knows to follow her.

Depends on what you are looking for. But, my daughter plays on habbo.com. She makes rooms ex: buys items for school rooms, hair salon rooms, beach rooms, outside. There are security options ex: by selecting from a list of greetings and a list of comments only or choose the chat option. I believe I choose from those options when she first registered.
She seems to have fun on it. But, I do monitor...
