Daughter 15 needs to make friends, where to start?

Daughter is looking for friends in the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows B.C area.(well Im looking for her..:) We just moved here from Coquitlam and now its summer and She has no friends here..Her school friends are too far away. She is isolated on the computer..and Id like to see her form some new friends..go to the rec center/mall go outside lol Took her to the Gregg Moore Teen center last night but it was really geared for going with a friend. I know this seems silly but I want her happy..I just dont know where else to look for her..:)

Is there a reading group or book club that she could join at a public library or at a bookstore? Are there any festivals or any kind of camps or classes she could take? She's on the computer, is there any way she can connect with any other area teens? Is there anyplace she could work part time where other teens work? Is she willing to try going back to the teen center? I admire her for going, that had to be so hard! Is there a local beach or pool? I'm sure once school starts, she'll have lots of friends. I hope she can connect with at least a few of them beforehand!
