Sometimes it seems like spur-of-the-moment plans with my family turn out to be the most fun. What is the best "family night" activity you've had?

We make it a point to have pizza and movie night at home every Friday no matter what is going on in our lives. It has become a tradition in our house that started when our daughters were younger (with the Disney movies). We all look forward to the end of the week time together! Sometimes we also bake cookies together too...

We make cookies or other treats, play games like operation and monopoly and sorry and aggravation, we have a lot of fun looking through my grandmothers closet of games for old games I haven't seen anywhere else. We go for frozen yogurt and play video games but I have the best time watching my daughter give my husband a make over!!!! We go for walks up to the shopping center and spend the day walking and looking at all the favorite shops and just kinda wing it and some of our favorite things have been going to activities scheduled at the library or youth center downtown. Of course there is always the park or the beach or the pool.

board or video games together, my son is teaching me how to play the pokemon card game ( ugh) but he really like s me taking an interest in something he likes alot. We also do outloud reading. to be really fun we pull out funny books such as Dr Seuss and have fun doing voices or trying to read Fox in Socks fast without messing up.

we live by the park, so we play baseball a lot! swimming, cycling, picnic at the park, impromptu trips on weekends to the coast or the foothills

Rock wall climbing, go carts (believe it or not, it is hysterical watching the kids faces...hubby's, too), batting cage, putt-putt (mini-golf), tubing on a river.
