I have recently bought a juicer and my 8 year old and 10 year old love helping me make juice. I know they don't always like the taste, but for some reason if they have juiced it themselves the almost feel obliged to drink it. Plus we keep telling them how good it is for their bodies. Raw juices are a great way to increase veggie intake. Adding apple or carrot make them nice and sweet too.

Right from the beginning I said I will not force my child to eat anything. I even cut the crust off the bread for him when he was little. Now he is ten and eats all veggies and even crusts. He won't eat cake, french fries and burgers. He even helps with shopping and choosing the veggies. I dont know if it will help you to start only now, but i think any age is better than nothing. Good luck!!!!

My 9yr old said he is allergic to veggies. Take all your leftovers cooked veggies even rice and mix it with some egg and flower. Bake it in oil like you would do with a mince patty. If the veggies are big chunks mash it up. I sometimes put a little sugar in the mix and add some spices to taste. If you can make a beef patty then you can make this. I even freeze it and it is good as a cold snack. You can also make meatballs with some grated carrots or other veggies in. Hope it helps

Have you tried zuccini bread? It's yummy, more like cake but has the veggies in it.

We give fresh raw veggies and fruit with lunch and dinner. Sometimes cooked veggies taste bad. I do sometimes cook carrots and spinach in chicken broth the make them taste better. The point of veggies is to get vitamins and keeping things "moving". Track the nutrition content of the food they do eat, if fresh fruit with dinner or lunch gets eaten than that the good thing. Beware of processed veggies, to much salt and not as good as fresh. Good luck.

When my boys were that age i put colourant in the veg and when asked what it was i told them you will love it just try it bright colours really did work oh i used red food colouring. When my kids got older and there was no fooling them i grated carrot into spaghetti bolognese sauce and they didnt know it was there but i knew they were eating it.

Well, what i have done in the past, is try letting them drink v8 with their meals. v8 has so many diff flavors, try each of them, but don't let them know its veggies. There is also dietary supplements if the child absolutely refuses to eat them. I have also started with my eight yr old (same thing, very finicky) is like after school, offering celery and apple slices with peanut butter..... can also do the ants on a log... make it more of a crafty eating project, then just some veggies on a plate with supper. Hope that helps :)
