I know this whole situation has you pretty freaked out right now but rest assured it is normal. I would be more worried if he didn't have stuff like that around. Where he got them is irrelevant. He may be using them for masturbation purposes which is also totally normal. This may sound a bit extreme but just be glad these items don't belong to anyone in your household. Boys will be boys! as a boy growing up i did similar things looking for knickers and bras wherever i could find them even though at the time i thought it was not normal and i was weird i just wanted to masturbate over knickers and bras whatever you do dont confront him or if u do re assure him that it is normal confronting him could be catastrophic he could find it humiliating and trust me thats not a good thing growing up so my advice is just be careful about him findng out that you know

First of all you do know what your son is doing with them. He is masturbating. Normal but creepy in the fact that he is snatching them from a very unclean and disturbing place. I would suggest a discussion with him about the fascination if it is just that he wants to have a bit of incentive while fondling himself or is it the actual dumpster diving and acquiring of used undies that lights his fire?



Secondly, If he is just looking for incentive perhaps giving him some money to purchase a few inexpensive undies from Wal-mart or Charlotte Ruse will help. to jennifer yes weve tryed talking to him but he still denies having them even thou nobody has been in his bathroom and bedroom but him ..hes grounded till he tells us the truth bc we know he took them theres no other logical way they couldve got into our place at all -then he took them out of his bathroom and tried to hide them in his pillow case and his dad caught him with them and two more -and he had a pair in his bed.so we dont know.

No, I don't think it's normal to steal underwear from anywhere, nor do I think it's normal to steal anything from a dumpster. Have you talked to him and asked where they came from and why he had them? I think you really need to do that. Used underwear doesn't smell good no matter where it came from - it's possible he got it directly from a girl who was wearing them. This is definitely something that warrants discussion.
