Its not right at all. To strip search is a breech of her civil rights and this could go a long way. Speak to a lawyer and find out what your rights are and if you have a case. Also ask your daughter if she wants to take this further or if she would rather forget about it and move on.

she was accused of stealing another childs phone the local education rules state they may be patted down but only if police are present no police were informed until i rang them the following day the school has said the teachers are in the wrong and under investigation but no one else seems to care that my daughter is off of school because the teachers are still there while the incident is being looked into and dont feel this is acceptable

What were they searching for? It seems a little extreme in this day and age. If they suspected a weapon then they could of patted her down, if they expected drugs they could of asked her to empty her pockets and patted them. I really dont see the need to strip search her. I am sure she felt humiliated. I would ring the school and get the full facts and then see from there what course of action you want to take. I am sure your daughter just wants to forget about it, if you take action this could be dragged out for months.
