My oldest daughter is almost 15. Just before she turned 13, she was having headaches, stomach aches as well as dizziness. She also threw up constantly for about 30 minutes at her 13th birday party. She was fine for the rest of the evening. I was of course worried that she was getting sick. With in a few days she started her period. She was fine and did not have any more throwing up. I can only assume this was all due to the onset of her period. Good luck! Hope this helps!

it's possible. has she began developing (breasts) yet? pubic hair? if so, it's probably the big moment. ask her ped. also, tell her to describe the pain, maybe she's just sick.

The first two would make me think of her monthly cycle, but the third symptom makes me lean more toward possibly the flu or mono. Check with the doctor, and I hope she feels better soon.

It could be, but a trip to the doctor is definantly a good idea. My first period came out of the blue, no warning what so ever, and I didn't start suffering cramps or anything until I was an adult. But some of my friends would get so sick right before their periods started they'd have to stay home a day or two every month. One friend of mine in highschool even passed out from her period symptoms a few times. And now I get all kinds of symptoms that I would never before have thought would have to do with my period coming, but after discussing it with a doctor they told me people have all different symptoms and it's not unusual for those symptoms to change with your hormones. Now I get nausea, heartburn, tender breasts, I feel weak sometimes....it's amazing the symptoms that can be tied to your menstrual cycle.

It does sound like the symptoms I had before my very first period. I was in pain in that area, and definitly felt like cr*p for a few days before the period showed up.

I remember feeling that way for a week at least; and that lying down on my stomach made things a little easier. It didn't stop the pain or the other symptoms.

I've been telling my 11 year old if she has any pain in that area, to let me know.

Its been several days though; hope its all worked out now, and that you've got your answer!

It is perfectly possible. My stepdaughter experienced various symptoms for about 12 months before she got her first period, so while she may not be bleeding yet, her body may be starting to develop a cycle.

I also do know people who get headaches and dizziness with their period.

However, there are any number of things it could be,, so I would also consider taking her to the doctor for a check up.

I've never had a headache or dizziness with my period, nor have I heard of those being typical premenstrual symptoms. I'd take her o the doctor... Headache, dizziness, and stomach ache could be anything, including a virus or food poisoning. Better safe than sorry.
