Hi Jenn, I am having issues with my 10 year old daughter too. She has terrrible mood swings, especially when told no, and doesn't deal with change very well at all. She seems like she has split personalities at times-it is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with!! It is taking a toll on my marriage because my husband is all "tough love!" My child is also my only one and has definitely been given everything most of her life, but she isn't completely spoiled rotten. I was hoping to hear how things are going for you two now!

hmm well have you asked her if something is bothering her?? And no Michelle they are not all that way I have never had this problem with any of my daughters and my oldest is about to be 13 years old and in 7th grade. I would when things are not going crazy sit down and ask her if anything is bothering her or if anything has happened to her she might want to talk about you might be surprised what she tells you or express's. Ask her if she is mad at you, if you have done something or not done something perhaps that has caused her to be so disrespectful with you. I would start there :) I hope you find something out that helps and hopefully its not just the kids around her rubbing off on her ♥

You are not alone. They are all that way. Try taking stuff away. I start with anything electronic. They don't like having their belongings removed, at all.
