Chances are he already knows something about it.If you wish to discuss it with him, go for it. I'd suggest you ask him if he wishes to discuss it, and go with that

I have a 13 year old and if i though she heard me I'd be a bit embarrassed but by that age there old enough to understand about sex, it's just a bit cringe worthy for them to know mum still dose it or even worse dose it for fun lol.

I am sure by 12 your child already knows what it is just be honest with them and promise not to be so noisy next time.
