i have an almost 15 yr old daughter who was just diagnosted with schitzo-type personality disorder..im lost, confused, and scared out of my mind

Contact the doctor's office that diagnosed your daughter and ask for information on any local support groups for parents of kids with mental illnesses. There you should be able to find other parents who may be dealing with similar situations. Use the internet, your library, and your local mental health facility to research and learn all you can about your daughter's condition. In many instatnces, medication dramatically improves behavior and function so all is not lost. Hope some of this helps and good luck!
