Kids do best when they know what is expected of them and they have a routine to follow. They (like many husbands) really have no concept what is involved with keeping a household running so they need some prompting. What works for me is a Chore Chart with am/pm chores. I just used an excel spreadsheet. Then, each week, they draw their chores out of a hat and I write their names next to the chore. Simple, fair, and effective! Now, if I could just get my hubby to pitch in a little more...

hi i have just joined and i thought that this might help. my kids were arguing over who was doing what and when, i got fed up with all the arguing so i drew up a rota for washing up, putting away etc and included mine and my husbands name as well then stuck it on the notice board for every one to see and i have had no more arguing since. hope this helps and good luck
