Alright Guys, Help

I have a 7 year old boy who is going thru skater shoes like he goes thru chicken nuggets lol we just bought him a pair of shoes last month and they look like he had them for a year lol and the bottom is worn thru man what in the world???

We've had good luck with pediped shoes - they are very well made and seem to last forever - especially the sneakers. Where can you get Keen shoes? I have never heard of them before. Right now my son is wearing Amreican Eagle. We have tried skater shoes and wears through them in about 6 weeks or so. So now he has a pair of skater shoes to play out doors with and the Amreican Eagle ones are for when we go out and stuff.

I have had very good luck with Keen's, for both of my boys. They have proven to be both durable, comfortable and able to last a couple of seasons. They are not inexpensive, but I've good luck finding them on sale. My fave's are the Newport H2. It's like a sandal, but with a tennis shoe sole/support, a covered toe and heel. And they can be tossed in the washer. Thye start wearing them as soon as spring and they last thru the fall. If they could wear them to school, they'd get even more wear. Keen makes a number of different styles, not just sandals.

I agree with Cyndi...Skater shoes do hold up a lot beter...only problem I have is that my 12 yr old is a skater, and he can still blow through shoes like crazy...even worse is the only thing important to him clothing wise is his skinny jeans(uuugghhh) and his shoes...I've been paying anywhere from 60-75 on his shoes. skater shoes cost a little more but i'm not replacing them every 2 months like i was before

Well this past school year my son went through 4 pairs of skater shoes. I think he is just extra rough on shoes, but its crazy. When I was a kid I got 2 pairs of shoes for school and that was it. He is now wearing a pair of American Eagle shoes that he loves and I am hoping that those ones last little longer. He hates wearing sandles, but I now have him wearing flip flops in the backyard for swimmng and stuff, but when he is with his friends, riding his bike or just hanging out he wears his runners. I have gone to sporting goods stores and have tried a number of different shoes as well, but I am getting the impression he likes to use his feet as brakes on his bike as opose to the hand brakes. Crazy boy he is!! Thanks for your input!

Are you opposed to certain brands. I have a younger one with this prob we started buying him Skater shoes. They seem to hold up sooo much longer then other brands. Just a thought
