my son is 13.he use to be this out going kid...now i don't know whats wrong...he has no friends outta school..he don't wanna do anything.never wants to leave the house..i can barely get him to shower half the time..he sleeps a lot..and watch's tv thats it...what do i do?

Chances are it is just hormones. It's a confusing time for boys.You didn't mention his Dad. What does he say? he may remember what he was like at this age.PLease ask about school. Is there a possibility of bullying? Is he online with his friends after school? It would be helpful for him to see a counselor of some sort in case something has happened that he can't talk about yet.I am dealing something similar and counseling has helped alot.it is hard to know what to do or how to react.He knows you love him. That helps even if he doesn't show it. Take good care.

This is normal teen behaviour and they snap out of it about age 16ish. Both my sons were the same not wanting to interact at home or take part in any family occasion. My eldest son went into his room and basically stayed there for two years and my younger son was never in, always out chilling with his mates and just coming home for food. It is normal for boys to do this. Just make sure the lines of communication are open, go into his room and just chat for a while to make sure he is ok, if you can get him to talk great. Unless he is showing any other signs like not eating or failing school then dont be to worried. If you are concerned mention it to school and ask to speak to a councilor for him.

Alot of teens get depressed,being a teen is HARD! Here is a link to a site about teen depression...
And MOST of the time the parents have nothing to do with the cause of the depression.
