my son wasn't interested nor at school, nor at sport, he just wanted to go outside, I put him in sport, and he got interested in it, and now I told him if he doesn't improve sport will go away, and he is improving in school, now...

The grade come first and sports come second. In our home the school work first and sports second. The grades comes down and NO SPORTS. It work for us my son said no soccer, baseball, basketball, or cross country and we said yes. Your grades are first and sports second.

I second Sonia - no work no play concept works wonders in this area - if the grades arent at least a C - then his school work is suffering from the time in sports and would be better suited doing homework, studying etc.

My boy is big in sports and school work is last on his list .His first day of Kinder he packed his back- with a football, baseball and gloves because school ment more boys (GAME ON) Yea, now he is 11 and if he doesn't spend the time to do his homework after school practice is canceled for the day. and report cards the "No Pass No Play " rule goes for his coach as well . Last summer he went to a learning center insted of playing outside all-day . He was so mad (heehee) Yet I'm his biggest fan .. I wish you the best of luck.
