How big is everyones 2002 kids?

My son is Feb. 2002 5'5 120. I think its all the hormones injected in meats and stuff. /= so unfortunate. My poor baby looks like a teenager compared to other kids his age. everyone thinks he is like 13

My DD Born in August, is 4'3'' and somewhere between 55-60 lbs. She is not large some where in the 5-10th%..... she had cousins that are turning 8 this year that are bigger then her in every way but hey both my kids are small. She still fits in size 7 pants she can actually still put on a 6 and move they are just too short in the leg.

My son was born in July of 2002, is 4"11 and 94lbs. He isn't even the tallest kid in his class either! His maturity matches his size so he is often mistaken for a 12-13 year old.

I have a daughter who is born in October and is about 5 foot and weighs 47 kgs which is about 103 pounds
My guess is that ir depends on the genetics and the parents build that will determine the size you child will grow up into.

Our daughter was born in September of 2002, is just under 5' and weighs 105 pounds. She does not pork out on Twinkies or Ding Dongs. In fact we are a vegetarian family and we eat a healthy and well balanced diet with very few exceptions. Madison is also a 3rd degree brown belt in Kung Fu and plays soccer so she is very active. My oldest daughter, Chrissy, was built the same way at Madison's age and then she had a growth spurt and the height and weight got proportional. Madison's dr is not concerned so my husband and I are not either and we do not make it a topic of conversation with Madison. She has had no problems with being self conscience and has never been criticized or made fun of because of her size. It helps that the school she attends is one that she has been in since Kindergarten. Moreover, since the school is not affiliated with the local public school system, anyone at her school who bullies for any reason is expelled. I do get a little concerned abt her weight at times, but I keep it to myself. I am positive that a growth spurt is on the horizon!! I'd be more worried if she resembled a stick figure with knee caps!!!

my first daughter was 9lbs even and 20inches when she was born and not she is 2 years old and two inches shy or 4 feet tall and weighs 32lbs. She is over the 100 percentile for height and they are telling to expect her to be 6ft or taller and very skinny. lol and my 2nd daughter was 8lbs 15oz and 19 inches and she is 9 months now at 29 inches and 22lbs. so not quite as tall as her sister but only time will tell if there is a growth spurt coming.

My son is now 9 1/2 . He weights around 64 pounds and I think he is 4'8". The ped said he is average.

I actually thought that he weighted less...He looks skinny. We tried to encourage good eating habits. And he does not consume fast food or sugary drinks. We also try to buy most of our food organic and free of hormones.

My son has grown aloot since I posted the conversation. He is now 81/2 years old and looks about 10! He is about 4ft 5 in, and weighs about 90lbs. He actually has a few cousins that are older than him, but he is bigger than them!

Aiken, my oldest son, was born October of 2002 and is now standing in at 4ft. 10 and weighing in at 72lbs. He's a giant.. haha. He seriously was tested for Giant's Syndrome when he was 3. He has always been big though, weighing 30lbs at 8 months - I can't remember his exact height, but he was in 12 mo. clothes at 3 mos. And wearing 3T before his first birthday. He has thinned out, but is still a big boy. :) Which is strange, cause my youngest, now 18mos is TINY. He's in the 4th percentile for height and weight. Night & Day those two.

My daughter was born may 2002, is 4ft 6 inches and weighs 118llbs, my oldest was like this, and then over about a year's time he shot up and thinned out, she has been at this weight for about 4 months now, plus she was dealing with some depression, we actually got into a really bad car accident (therpaist thinks she tries to find comfort in food) but I am 5'3 and 130llbs. I think all in all we some medical professionals have us parents all worked up of what is "normal" and what isn't. My daughter is the tallest in her class, and very athletic. I won't worry about it until the doc says that we have to woory about it. As long as we love our kids uncontionally and teach them how to eat and take care of their bodies. They should grow up to be healthy and wise.

Wow how varied our kids are! My daughter born July 24 2002 weighed 5lbs 13oz. She now comes up to my shoulders, I'm 5'2. She weighed right around 90 at her last doc visit. She wears a 12-14 in clothes and a size 4 shoe. Did I mention she is absolutely beautiful?

I'm glad to see that my 2002 kids aren't too out of the norm!
My triplets were born Aug. 2002, weighing 3lbs 7oz, 3lbs 15oz and 4lbs 3oz. At 8yrs old, they're roughly 4'2" and 50lbs, 3'11" and 46lbs, then 4'1" and 53lbs. Still size 6 with adjustable waist (jeans), but they are getting there:)

My daughter is around 50 inches tall and just tipped the scale at 100 pounds, I find she has these big growth spurts, and her dad and I are short? she is almost as tall as me! to those moms who are worried about weight around the middle, if they are eating right and not eating junk then stop worrying, I was the same way when I was a kid as my mom and her mom, I hit puberty and we all got skinny. Some kids hang onto baby weight a little longer, my daughter eats very well and is in gymnastics, swimming and other activities..

My daughter was born July 2002. She was 8lbs. 3 ozs at birth. She is a little chunky monkey too. She's tall I think for her age(not sure the height off hand), but she is big around the middle section as well. She is active. Is there anything that we can do for the midsection on the kids this young.

I have the same problem with my boy,every1 expects too much from him because they think he is 8 or 9 because of his height.His bday is 23rd Dec,he has just gone into a size 14 t-shirt & size 10 pants,he has a size 6 foot & towers over all the other kids in his class except 1.He is tall & skinny,doesnt eat red meat(never has)only chicken

but he is still my little man & always will be!:)

My son also appears older than he is (just a week ago, my brother was certain he was really 9 and I was trying to trick him). He turned 8 in May and when we took him to the dr he pretty close to your son's height and weight.

My son was born Feb 2002 and at his last height check which was only a few weeks ago he was 116cm and weighed in at just over 3 stone which is under-weight but he has medical issues including a non-treatable high thyroid as they feel he should out grow this issue and they don't want to medicate it until we have all his other medical issues under control. We was very supervised about his weight though he has to take steriods daily for his asthma and through out the bets part of winter is also on oral steriods as well.

My Jan. 2002 daughter is very tall and slightly bulky for her age. Everyone always thinks she is the oldest when they meet all of my kids. My oldest is 10 and she sometimes gets mad because she got her fathers genes*very short and very skinny*. My 8 yr. old got my genes*poor thing! lol very tall & sturdy* ;) It is amazing how differently kids grow and look even if they have the same parents....genetics are amazing! :)

My daughter was born in June 2002 at exactly a month premature - her weight has been in the 5th percentile since birth and her height has been in the 95th percentile.

Last we checked her she was about 4ft and somewhere around 50lbs give or take 3-4lbs either way. While she occassionally appears quite tall and some people thinks she's older than she is more often than not because she is so slight they generally think she is younger than she really is.

Most important thing is - is your doctor happy with his growth. Could be that he's filling out and getting ready to sprout up with a growth spurt soon.
