My soon to be 9 year old daughter has had a habit of quietly humming to herself when tired, not to any tune or anything, just a simple hum. Recently we took a family trip to Walt Disney World and I noticed her humming more often, I just assumed that because we were at Disney and always on the go, that she was just overly tired. We are home now for almost a month and her humming is so frequent, she can't talk without pausing to hum, she can't read a book out loud without humming after every few words she reads. I asked her to try to be more aware of this habit and try not to do it, so now her hum is starting to turn into a very noticable clearing of the throat. What can I do to help snap her out of this habit she is forming? Any suggestions????
