Potty Training problems

My daughter was born on the 28th. She sometimes likes to sit on the potty, has even peed and pooped in it, but she will not tell us when she has to go. She will tell us after she goes in her diaper. I have tried setting her on the potty when I see she is making her "faces and noises" but she just screams and screams. She gets excited if she does happen to go in the big girl potty, but has no interest in doing it herself. Any suggestions?

We bought my son some big boy pants with his favorite cartoon character. One day back in July I decided to take away his diapers and stop using the pullups and have him potty trained before he turned 3. The first day was hard, second was better and by the third day we had no accidents. 30 minutes after he would drink something I sat him on the toliet and about every 30-60 min I put him on there. We would sit him on the toliet backwards and put some of his favorite toys to play with and just kept him there. If he went to the bathroom he got a mini gummy bear. After a week of doing this he started telling me he had to go and we stopped giving it to him only when he went #2. Sometimes he would go and others he didnt but it worked.

I used the pull ups and it didnt work. I then bought just regular cute undies, that Ayva picked out, and the plastic underpants. She HATED those. I told her when she stayed dry she didnt have to wear them anymore. She stayed dry the next day. She will tell me she has to go. But I have to take her to the bathroom and still help her with her clothes, but the plastic pants worked for us.

Hi I think you should not use pull ups or pampers. I have twins that were born on the 24th and I just one day about a month and half ago I took aways there sippy cups and pampers now they don't even use pull ups to go to sleep. Try to buy undies she likes and tell her all the time that shes a big girl if she uses a sippy cup buy a regular cup that she likes and tell her that big girls use regular cups. My twins did very good but then again they had been ready for some time it was me that didn't want to stay home to potty train. Good luck. keep me posted. Anita
