My daughter was born on 9/06/06, so that would maker her... 3yrs. 7 months. Anyway, she is delightful, but extremely "spirited", high energy, passionate, emotional, etc. I had friends that warned me that the "terrible two's" were nothing compared to three. I have to admit, they were right. Right around 2 things got harder, then harder at 21/2, then it got kicked into high gear at 3. BUT, dare I say... I think we've gotten over the hump! Anybody else feel this shift? I think my little girl is growing up! Tear...sigh! ;)

my son was born on 9/6/06 too!! We never had any terrible two or trying threes. I do admit, though, that four is easier than three because he can entertain himself (and his younger brother) without getting into trouble (most of the time) while I do other things.
I think part of the reason is that they understand more of what's going on. It makes mommy upset or sad when you do this, it makes mommy happy when you do this. Since kids are always looking for approval they learn to do what makes mommy happy.

My son was born on 13th September 06 and I guess what you are saying is right ...we had the terrible 2's and then when he entered his 3 it was the same but he is getting a lot more sweet now ...he does actually understand things and loves mommy !!!! Hope it continues for you, me and all others ....
