Most of us will be potty training soon if we aren't already.
What is your best tip(s)?

We actually started Potty Training 5 days ago and things are going great. Well, except for pooping, but that is a whole other story. We bought him a potty before he turned 2 so he could come in there and see what was going on. One day about 2 months ago, he told me he had to go to the bathroom and he pee'd and we praised, but was never interested in doing it again. So we left it alone. Then about a month ago, we bought him big boy underwear and have been talking about wearing them every day. We finally decided to give it a go and we put him in his "Cars" underwear and he LOVED it. He had 4 accidents on the 1st day and wanted nothing to do with being wet and gross. The second day he didn't want to wear his underwear and I didn't want to push anything so we left it alone. 3rd day, he wanted his underwear back and now we are on day 5 with only 2 accidents the whole time. He has managed to stay completely dry overnight and at nap time. We have the peeing down, but now we just have to convice him that pooping on the potty isn't scary. It's a very common problem, but we just have to figure out how to get around it. Good Luck!!!

that is so true, when my son started messing around in the bathroom and started to imitate both of going to the bathroom so i bought his own potty and just let him get use to it. so far its not a steady bathroom rutine but i've been using the dvd from huggies , just waiting to get like some reward things besides praising him all the time. I found out praising alone all the time doesn't always work...lol long story

I have something advice. Don't force your child to go on the potty. Take the time to talk about the potty and get him/her used to it. The more effort you put into making your child go on it the more your child will back away from using the toilet.
