my youngest daughter was born in july of 2007 we found out then that she has mitral vaulve regurgation and she has a slightly enlarged heart and she has spent most of her time in and out of the hospital up untill here recantly and they keep telling us she will have to have a vaulve replacment and i was wondering anyone else have a child who has had to have this procedure that could give me any info and also they tell me she will never outgrow it anyone here with a child who has overcome it please any info apperciated thank so much

I'm currently 21 and just married my sweet heart. I had mitral valve regurgitation at birth as well and was told I wouldn't see 15 without a replacement. I did however grow out of it over time. I now have a fully healthy hear and spen most of my days dancing, playing sports, or chasing around my ten year old step son

Hi my child is 14 months and has Mitral Stenosis. He also will need to have his valve replaced. Have been wanting to find someone who is going through a simular thing we are. sorry I can't help you as far as the process of a valve replacement, but I would love to know your story and what you have been through if you are happy to reply.
