Hi does anyone know of a butter or spread that we could use for our daughter who has dairy and soy allergy. She is also very sensitive to pear and Beef. She was sensitive to rice but that seems to have sorted it self out.

I use goats butter for my daughter who is completely cows milk intolerant, we purchase it from sainsbury's primarily although I understand some tesco supermarkets also stock it.

I use a marg, that is from canola oil. my son is the same Dairy and Soy ALLERGY.

Does the earth balence you use have pea protein in it? My daughter has trouble with that also.

Do you have Tablelands Health Smart in NZ? Im in Oz and its dairy free :) Just checked on it and it says nothing about soy. Only that its actose & dairy free. We have it in the supermarkets.

Like someone else said, I totally recommend Earth Balance dairy free/ soy free margarine. It is totally amazing! We use it in/ on everything and even those in our family who are not allergic enjoy it. Yahoo! Good luck!

Google Palm fruit oil or Palm fruit shortening. You can only buy it online and it is a great butter substitute and all natural. It is often used as one of the main oils in the earth balance butter substitutes.

I agree with the Earth's Balance and I do use Fleicshman's LIGHT margarine, it is dairy free but I do not know about soy.

Earth Balance came out in Nov of last year with a new soy and dairy free margarine... it is wonderful! It changed our lives! My 2 year old is allergic to eggs, soy, dairy, wheat, oats and peanuts so you can imagine what a challenge it is to find food for him but with this margarine I can butter his noddles and toast and also bake cookies and cakes! love it. You can most likely find it in health food stores
