My three year old daughter has keratosis(sp). Does anyone have any suggestions on detergents? I'm using dye/perfume free fabric softener-not the liquid not the sheets and I'm using tide but I don't think it is really helping her.

My 3 year old daughter has KP pretty bad the bumps get infected sometimes but she has it on the face, upper and lower arms, buttocks, and on her thighs. I was sent the Olay pro-x to try out write a review on. Well during the 2 week test I had a wild idea to try it on my daughter and it helped a lot!!! It exfoliates the skin and helps clear the keratin build up. So my combo with her is Dreft to wash her clothes, Downy Free softener, Burt's Bees baby shampoo/wash, Burt's Bees Cocoa & Cupuacu butters body lotion 2x daily on lotion. Her face has cleared greatly compared to what it was!! Granted I made major changes to everything but it helps!!!! I was told to try a sugar scrub by iVi Scents but I haven't had a chance yet!

I put 2 additional rinse programmes without any detergen (only water) after washing clothes. Then iron all the clothes. Really helps. And some types of fabrics are not good, try to give her special underwear (there are also tights) made of silk. These you wash in baby shampoo and rinse very well in hands.

Try not to use any fabric softner Use detergent only like all dye free the fabric softener still stays in the clothes leaving a iratating residue
