Molluscum Contagiosum

I saw pictures of what molluscum contagiosum looks like on webMD. Sounds very similar to what my daughter had on her legs when she was 5-6 years old. The only thing that worked on her was cetafil in the jar. Sometimes it still develops on her legs but we try to use Cetafil on a regular basis for her. Try it it may or may not work.

I like your husband's idea about putting salt in the bathtub. If he's really serious, I guess I'd suggest seasalt. lol. I still think you should go with the idea of the real ocean for your vacation!!! Good luck and have fun on your trip.

Thanks for the tip...we are actually planning a trip later this month, and we were talking about going to the beach...I told my husband about the salt water and he said he might start adding salt to the bathwater a few times a week and see if it helps...it probably couldn't hurt right?!

My daughter had molluscum contagiosum when she was 5 years old. It's actually only contagious before you know you have it. She got it from someone from her gymnastics calss. It took about a year for it to go away. We tried what was recommended by the dermatoligist, but it didn't work either. The only thing that actually did work unexpectedly is this: we took a family vacation on a cruise and went to the beach. The salt water from the ocean cleared up her skin within a matter of a few weeks! I wish I had more suggestions for you, but this was the only thing that worked. Let's look at this positively...you can tell your husband that you need to plan your next vacation to the ocean so that you can heal your son's skin!!!
