My son is 10, and after bath time I notice his skin particularly on his arms, legs and back has been getting really dry. But overall his entire body is pretty rough and dry now. Since it started I have been having him take long hot baths every night but it doesn't seem to be working. Anyone know what I can do to prevent this from happening? His skin used to be soft so I have no idea what happened. Does anyone here have past experience with their kids, and how old were they when this happened and what did you do?

Stop using soap immediately!

Start using QV as I have listed below or Billy Goat soap.

Stop the long hot baths, you need to have Luke warm baths and short as possible.

Try using moisturiser creams in the morning and evenings Hydraderm is a good one, you can get it from your local chemist, use it as a massage cream.

Try to keep him away from chlorine as much as possible.

Hydraderm, Moo Goo ( http://www.moogoo.com.au/ ), QV ( http://www.qvskincare.com.au/ ).

The McArthur natural paw paw products do not work!

My Daughter is Currently 2years & 8 Months old, We have been dealing with Dry Skin/ Eczema since she was 4 months old.

We took her to a dermo and she has now been to diagnosed with anaphylaxis to Egg & Peanuts.

Plenty of moisturisers, keep the little guy in cool environment.

Hope this helps :)
