i have psoriasis and my boyfriend has exzema and we are so worried that our little girl will end up with one of the two. if she does i dont know how im going to help her deal with it seeing as i have aalways had a hard time dealing with mine..not so much now but as i was growing up as a child back in the 9th grade i had gone to a diffrent school and at one point i actully had some kid come up to me and ask if i had aids or something i was in shock and so embarassed.

i dont take anything to keep mine under control because eveything i use never seems to help. im reeally worried for her though because the inside of her ears are really dry with blotches of skin and that the first place mine starts before i get an outbreake and somedays she has little red blotches all over her back neck and tummy she is olny 5 months old and we havent seen a doctor about it because i think she is to young to get a proper diagnosis.

Keep her skin well hydrated by giving her massages with the lotion after her bath. Use something with oatmeal that is calming. I have had P since I was 19 & hubby broke out after we had our son. I have talked to nurses & we have not created the perfect storm for them to get it. Think positive & educate the dr on your med history so he knows to look out for it & help you.

I use OTC cortizone, vaseline, aveno 24 hr.. etc.. Burned by too many products that never really helped.

I don't know about ears that little.

I know exactly what you're going through as I have eczema and psoriasis( o the joy!) and have passed on eczema to my son - I feel so guilty at the pain I have caused him , but go and get a diagnosis - its better to know so you can cope/ treat etc ..... you will know what she is going thorugh - I got a diagnosis on my son at 3 months ........
