Hello moms,

I was looking for pasta to cook for my baby (11 months old), but I am scare because I read the ingredients and I found Ferrous Lactate. In some websites it says it could contain milk. Does anyone know? Please advise.

Thank you!

My 3 year old dd is anaphylactic to dairy, seafood, shellfish, palm, coconut, sunflower, safflower, chamomile, and is highly allergic to wheat/gluten, peanuts, etc. We love the DeBoles and Tinkyada brands of pasta, which are usually just rice and water; unless you get the multigrain which is rice, amaranth, quinoa, and water.

I use Mueller's the only problem is that its processed in a facility thay uses eggs but my son who is severly allergic to eggs and milk protien has never had a problem with it. All pasta that I have ever checked either has egg or has been processed in a facility that uses egg.

I have a 14 month old that is allergic to milk, egg, peanuts, tree nuts and shell fish. we just found out a couple months ago so I am trying to find new foods as well. I found one brand by Mrs. Leepers and its 100% organic. They have Rice or Corn pasta noodles that are safe of these ingredients. They are also gluten and wheat free. Their web site is www.aipc.com. I get mine at the health food store we have in our little town. The baby loves them. I also found a soy butter by earth balance that is really good. I am still trying to find safe egg substitutes so if you have any ideas please let me know

My son is highly allergic to milk and eggs. I give him the Giant Eagle organic whole wheat pasta. He loves it and it tastes the same as regular pasta.

All I know is I have never had a problem giving my daughter any pasta. But I have been told that her particular allergy problem is ok if the Milk has been cooked into something kike pasta or bread. My daughter has a problem with the milk protien, she is not really lactose intollerant.
