we just made the switch from soy formula to soy milk. For the first week we mixed the two and did fine. Now that we are on straight milk he has been really gassy and irritable. Has anyone else had this problem.

Well, I have now also put my daughter on rice milk...the goats milk wasn't doing the trick after all

My daughter who is 6 months old, was having problems with all different kinds of formula and I couldn't get a hold of Neocate (I tried Alimentum and it was no good) so I've now put her on Goat's milk. It's much easier to digest than rice milk and she seems to be doing really well on it

Well he is now 16 months and we are still on soy formula. I have tried rice milk and that seems to work. So when this can of formula is gone we will be moving on to straight rice milk. Thanks for all the help.

Sounds like my son when we found out he was lactose intolerant. My son couldn't handle regular formula nor could he handle soy formula and we tried lactose free formula and that did the trick. My son is now on lactose free milk and he's 4 and does great on it. He still can't handle regular milk. It's worth a shot to try lactose free.

My son was on Similac Alimentum and we went to soy milk. He had the same issues, was cranky a lot, and gassy, but he also has had diarrhea for the past three months and a very distended belly. Today he was just put on Neocate Junior and the doctor said they think he is allergic to soy as well as milk protein.
