My 5 year old sneaks food. It's not like he's hungry or deprieved. Any suggestions?

It may just be a control issue.

Maybe try having designated snack areas both in the fridge and the pantry that are stocked with healthy snacks (of your choosing). Those areas would belong to him - he would be in charge of choosing his own snack and getting it for himself anytime he wants. (And you can feel better knowing you've limited his choices to healthy foods you feel comfortable with him eating.)

Be sure to mention this to your pediatrician, too. He/she can help you decide if there is a nutritional deficit, underlying emotional issue, or just a passing stage. Best of Luck!
