My son will be 6 in December and starts kindergarten this month and all of a sudden he thinks he is to old to get hugs and kisses. He is my oldest of my 3 kids and has always been my little helper and always loved to get hugs and kisses. How do i explain to him i will back off but that as his mother i still need some lovin...lol...he is growing up so fast.

Right now the main thing my son is doing is calling us "Mom" and "Dad" instead of his usual Mommy and Daddy which is making me sad.

Aww, I don't know if I could handle that. lol
You could do what my boyfriend and our son do, they have a special hand shake, I think that it's funny but it has become something that my son just can't not do. lol He will even stay awake , and when he hears his dad come home from work he'll come out just to do their shake..
Then just let him know that you still need a kiss now and then because you have not grown up as fast, and let him know that it will keep you happy till he gets home from school. or something like that, then he can kiss your cheek.

Awe. I'm so not looking forward to those days. Right now my only child...five year old still wants his goodnight hugs.
