10 signs you're an obnoxious facebook friend

You update your status with vacation countdowns. "Just booked the hotel for Cancun -- 94 Days!!!" We get it. You're excited. But 94 days is 93 days too many to hear about it.

2. You tag multiple pictures every single time you leave the house. Because how else will people know that you actually have a wild and crazy social life if you don't tag TONS of pictures?! HOW?

3. You update your status incessantly during any sports game you watch. Ask yourself this: If you watch a football game, and don't write about it on Facebook ... did you really watch it?

4. You post entire photo albums of just kissy faces. Dear Lord. I don't have enough time to explain why this is bad. Just no. Un-pucker those lips immediately.

5. You take your issues out on the Facebook community. Firing off statuses like, "Leave me alone. Don't try calling me. I hate everyone!!!!" only begs the question: why the hell are you on a social media site?

6. You use Facebook to try to get back at your ex. We know you've got #SingleGirlSwag now that you're on your own, but it's really obvious what you're trying to do.

7. Your status updates are TMI. Sorry about your baby's rash, that you were puking all night, or how badly you smell after that 10-mile run ... but some things are better kept to yourself.

8. You fish for compliments. "OMG, this guy stopped me on the street and told me I have the most beautiful eyes ever. Yeah right! I look like shit today!!" *Rolls eyes.*

9. You update everyone daily, but your schedule hasn't changed. If you go to the gym every day, there's really no need to write "at the gym" on your status each time. We know you're there. We believe you.

10. You get a new haircut/makeover/outfit and immediately upload a picture. Because God forbid you wait for people to see you in person.

Do you have an obnoxious Facebook friend? What have they done that annoys you?

#10, it drives me NUTS!

Jessica, I also see my family once, maybe twice a year! My husband was in the Navy and we recently settled down over 800 miles from our hometown! Facebook is what I use to post all my pictures and videos to the friends and family that actually want to know how we're doing! luckily I don't have any annoying inlaws or friends!!

I have moved away from almost all of my family and friends (military), so if I get a new haircut/makeover/outfit, I will sometimes post to my Facebook....they only see me twice a year. Everyone's situation is different.

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

I know people who 'friend steal'. They look into your friends list and add loads of people they don't know, just so they can comment on your comments and likes etc... Winds me up no end....

[deleted account]

I have a friend who posts a pic of herself in her car EVERY SINGLE MORNING on the way to work then gets annoyed if people don't comment about how beautiful she looks.
I also have a friend who posts profanity laden statuses about how everyone on earth (apparently) is a back stabbing **** and is making **** stuff up about her.
I have a male teen who does the same thing and is for some reason obnoxiously obsessed with being an uneducated red-neck, which makes me feel embarrassed for him b/c in real life, he's a good kid, but for whatever reason he's acting like an idiot on fb.

Unfortunately, they're all relatives I can't delete....yay.

oh yeah, Sharon! I forget how bad their mood swings are for a couple days and then wham! Someone is going to crawl in a hole and DIE! Two hours later, it is the best day EVAH! I also love how they will date someone for 5 minutes and they are 'engaged' or even 'married'. Pledges of "I would so die without you!!" abound. I guess I did know a couple girls like that in HS, it just seems so much more silly on the computer than it did in on a peice of notebook paper.

And I do have an older poser friend. Not quite as bad with the self portraits, but she goes from married to single to married again pretty quick. Yeah, literally. Four husbands, 5 kids, and is 28! I watch her profile like my mom watched soap operas. Who's Erica with today? Is she cheating again? How long will this one last?? I can tell she's getting bored with current hubby, cause she's starting to run again. Soon will be the new improved ME pics. Then all pics of her hubby will disappear. Then all pics of her kids are gone. POOF! She's headed to Vegas for another wedding!! Last time she bought her dress with the intentions of being able to alter it and wear it again. Really. Posted that on her status. I'm thinking that should have been a clue to looser boy?

Lol Katherine!! Me too!!

This girl I grew up with, she did a bit of time in jail, and when she got out, she moved into her moms. Her mom had custody of her daughter. As soon as she got out of jail, she booted up her old facebook account. One of the first pictures she posted, she was in the bathroom posing. The toilet was in the corner of the shot, but it wasn't poop in the toilet, it was black scum, or whatever you call that stuff that grows in there. Black all the way around the water line!!! When I clicked on the pic, my eyes went right to it!!

LMAO @ Sharon, I get annoyed by the pics, too! My teenage friends are usually fairly sensable, but sometimes I find myself laughing at the pics of them doing the 'duck face' in the bathroom mirror, $10,000 dollars worth of cosmetics thrown everywhere, and the toilet bowl as the backdrop! It can be hard to not comment.

I have a facebook friend who may not be obnoxious but she is certainly annoying! Always posting photos of herself posing... in a bikini, with a cocktail in hand, with girlfriends(also in bikinis), by the beach (in bikini), with her kids (not always in bikini), with new hair-do, with her bike (she's a tri-athlete), with her dance troup.... on and on and on..... And the pose is always the same, it's her generic pose used for all occasions.

However I could be accused of being an obnoxious FB friend myself as I do like to put sarcastic comments on annoying status updates and annoying photo captions... I do try to control myself but some days it's soooooooo hard!!! Especially when a friend puts up a photo of her daughter and her pony and the caption says "two of my lovely kids". I'm sure giving birth to the pony must have hurt like hell!!!

I know a married couple who changes their relationship status every time they fight, and usually they delete each other, but not always. I have even seen the wife change her name back to her maiden name, only to change it back when they made up. At one point I visited her page, and it was like...

DFD is now friends with SD.

Lol, my friends get deleted if they post more then two profanity laced updates in a week. I have young kids as friends, and they don't need to see that!

The one that erks me, and I can't delete is my hubs aunt. She is a needy clingly woman with a son who is a God-forsaken mess!! Anytime she and son are getting along, things are fine, but if she and her son are on the outs, my husband and I are suppose to fill the void!! I will post a status update and then she will post something like, "oh, I'm SSSSSOOOOO glad ya'll are doing ok! It's been AAAAGGGEEEEESSSSS since I've heard ANYTHING from YA'LL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE keep in touch! I SSSSSOOOOO LLLLLLLLOOOOOOOVEEEEE UUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!" I want to barf. I had started not making any status updates, but now she stalks us on timeline............LOL, you can pick your friends, but then they get stuck with your crazy family!

I'd like to add one...those that like to compete with every status you post...I can't stand that! Although I do feel a bit bad for them since they feel like they have to compete...must have some personal problems they need to work out.
