I am perfect for my family. I know the ins and outs better than anyone. I know of no one (including my own mother who also raised 4 kids) who could come in and do what I do. It's because of that perfect for my family dynamic.

I may be perfect for ours but that does not mean I can walk into any ole household and run it as well as I run our home. I don't know that family, I don't know the kids, the schedules, the routines, etc.

So while I may have our shit together, outside our home I'd flounder just like anyone would walking into my role.

I think those ladies just know how to look like they have their s**t together! People think I know what I'm doing and I just laugh! I recently got to know a neighbor who I always thought was Super Mom - turns out she's struggling just like me! Made me feel better to have someone to vent with!

Honey I'm so far from perfect, It's not funny. My shits all over the place. But I try my hardest, and I would do anything for my family, Sometimes love makes up for some of my crap.

Hell yeah!

No, I am not perfect but I try to be the best person I can be for my daughter. I try to be a good role model and I love her and care for her with everything I have.

Shannin your right I don't think there is any secret, we just do what ever it takes to get us through the day, good or bad day it's whatever works for us.

Oh, you guys are talking actually perfect people. That doesn't exist.

Parents having their shit together? That does exist and depends on the family.

We all have bad or off days though.

No way am I perfect. I clean all day and my house still looks like it was hit by a tornado twice. I am down to what ever can be completed in 20 minutes or less for dinner. I'm lucky to get all 3 kids into the car on time to get my son to preschool. But at the end of the day if we are all still alive and my kids will only file a bad mothering lawsuit because I won't let them play with the iPad I guess we're doing good.

I'm far from perfect. I'm just an organized person. I prefer to be there for my kids so the house is usually a mess but it's not dirty. I call it "lived in".

Plus there's no such thing as perfect. Everyones definition is different. My husband tells me I'm perfect though.

Gee....I have sticky floors and a dirty oven at the moment, but my child is definitely NOT happy--juice spilled on the floor sending him into a major melt down, then my potato bake over flowed and burnt all over the inside of the oven while I was tending to the juice and screaming child....yay!

What's the quote? "Good moms have sticky floors, dirty ovens and happy children."

If that's the definition of a good mom then I'm getting close to perfect.

I try to be perfect, but there is no such thing. Especially trying to raise 6 kids where chaos or drama can happen any moment. I sort of have it together, but my friends and family think I have it together and think I am perfect so they call me Bree Van De Kamp LOL

Coffee lol and elbow grease when I see the clock hit 4. I've done nothing today though except go to the post office to collect my shoes. I'm not perfect though. No one is. Everyone has their own priorities.

Your youngest is a stunner and I can totally picture the shoe thing in my head :)

I'm not a perfect mom, never wanted to be. I'd rather just be the best mom I can be to my girls.

Right now my son has one shoe off and the other on…the shoe that is off is in his mouth…he is going to town on it. He has yet to wear it outside so its not dirty, BUT im letting him chew it…that is not a perfect mom thing to do..but it makes him happy and quiet…lol

I will take it out if rubber starts to disappear

I dont think the perfect mom actually exists. I am the perfectly imperfect mom for my kids though. I think we all just do our best, and whats best for our family.

I'm not perfect by a long shot and I don't try to be. I just do the best I can do for my family.

[deleted account]

Nobody is perfect--that's a high standard to live up to!

J thinks I'm great, but even he has occasional criticism--like "perhaps you should try saying 'yes' more often, mom." --So I'm not perfect even by my own kid's standards! :P

He & hubby still love me in my imperfect state though, and that's all that matters :)

ooooh yes well I try to be....Mostly because unlike some who have middle ground of being pissed I don’t.
So I try my best to stay calm…or I will blow up (everything will be impulse, reflex and spur of the moment…no thought) that scares me about myself. LOL

Okay so im going to cut the BS I am far from perfect, BUT I am the best mother in the world according to my 8year old.

I have it together but it is flawed by the standards of others.
