BabyCanWait.com has been created for you. We know you want straightforward answers to questions about your body, sex, and relationships but don't always know where to go to ask.

We highly recommend you talk to your parents, guardians, or trusted adults. But, if you're not comfortable with that, this site is here to give you some answers to your questions. Pregnancy is a big deal, don't let anybody tell you it's not. So, check out this website to find out more about body development, the locations of health care providers, or straight up learn more about sex and how it can affect your life.

Yes this is an actual website for teens and pre-teens to check out JUST in case the parents haven't had the "talk."
IMO...ridiculous. They are now using pictures of girls with snakes wrapped around them to convey predators or under age sex. And it's going viral.

So what are your thoughts?

I didnt see the snake pic at first either, that is a bit strange. The website though seems like a good tool, and it seems to give pretty unbiased info, and also encourages communication with a parent. I think it can be a good resource, becasue the truth is not all parents talk with their kids about sex, and some questins kids may not be comfortable asking.

Okay, I can understand the point of the article. Although the part about snakes and rats kinda angers me (the can make awesome pets and are NOT sick and disgusting).
The messages need to be aimed more at the kids and less at the parents. I can definitely agree with that. I still say the site, in and of itself, is not a bad idea. It seems to cater to both parents and children to a certain extent. So....the ads might be out of place, but the site still seems solid enough to me.

I don't see anything wrong with it personally. I didn't see any pictures of girls with snakes wrapped around them.
Looking through the site, it seems pretty straight forward and unbiased regarding birth control (aka, not all about abstinence) and it encourages, on multiple pages, young people to talk to trusted adults about whatever they might be going through.
Seems like a good resource to me. Encourages healthy relationships, healthy body, body awareness, safe sex....nothing negative there to me. Some parents just don't talk to their kids (and the site gives ideas on how to do that too), or kids are going through something they're not comfortable talking about. It's good to have resources like this.

Unless I'm missing something somewhere??
