Buried or Cremated?

Sounds weird of me. I want to be cremated. Why? b/c of the phemalderhyde (sp) they pump into the bodies at the morgue and then bury you. It can't be good for the ground, much less the environment.

I want to be cremated. I'd have too hard of a time trying to decided where I'd want to be buried, being that I have family in Washington and Florida, I’d hate to have to choose. My loved ones can do whatever they would like with my ashes too. I'm not picky! I'd also like to donate my organs as well.

Any usable organs are to be donated. What's left is to cremated and the ashes sprinked on the beach where I grew up.

There is this area near us where you are buried without a coffin and without preservatives, no headstone either. It's basically a big park with flowers and trees. I want to be buried there. Let my body go back to mother earth. I want an oak tree planted over me so that I can fertalize it and it can provide a home to many animals.

EPJ wants to go to a body farm. It would be nice if that would happen soon. lol

My husband and I both want to be buried and next to each other. I suppose we should actually think about investing in plots at some point. Part of that responsible being prepared (and not leaving people to deal with more then necessary) thing I suppose.

I have always thought cremated, but I really like carolees idea of donating my body to the body farm. Something to think about.

Since I'm terrified of bugs there's NO WAY I'm going to be buried! I want to be cremated and put in a wall vault with a nice plaque. I actually asked my grandfather (who's 79) to make me a cremation box. He made me one identical to the ones he made for him and my grandmother - really nice pine with red velvet lining. Kind of a grim gift but at least I know I'm going to be vaulted in with a piece of someone I love dearly! :) My hubby wants to be buried so it's out to be next to each other

I kind of always liked the cremated and then thrown in a river or ocean type of deal. I love water.

I was watching another food documentary that was talking about how heavier people are getting. They said on average our caskets over the page decade or two have needed to get 1 inch wider AND deeper. Also, the old cremators cannot fit over a certain weight person as they don't fit AND the excessive fat on bodies is a dangerous risk to catching the incinerator on fire and blowing up the entire device! WOW! I cannot believe it. Who ever thinks of that stuff? Sorry, you're too fat to be cremated! It makes sense but I was still like uh wow.................. wow...

Jason wants to be cremated, so that takes being buried next to each other out. I do not want to be cremated. If we're not going to be next to each other... I was thinking of donating my body to the forensic science body farms. I really don't think my family would follow through with that, so, it will be a 'normal' burial for me. I want a gorgeous headstone, though. And I want it to state exactly how many years, months, and days that I lived (under the dates).
