I started working in a greenhouse and now all of the sudden have this green thumb. I just bought a bleeding heart (gorgeous), some ageratum, and some Salvia sp?? Anyways, love them.

Well I was going to show you pictures but stupid ad aware has them blocked. Anyways they're really cool plants.

Not really. I can keep hardier plants alive. But those that need a lot of attention and watering die on me. I think some of that is because I don't have an actual garden, so I forget about the planter on my deck.

Although my rosemary and sage have lasted through our messed up winter quiet nicely. I really want a basil plant, but I'm afraid I'll kill it, by forgetting to bring it inside during the winter.

The only cactus that I ever killed was the one I didn't like. Turns out a cactus CAN get too much sun. lol My first cactus though, I managed to keep it alive for years after a spider mite ate a huge hole in it. Then my dad killed it. I had 'Spike' for 10 years, broke my heart. =(

I can make almost anything grow, as long as I like it. lol Usually I just do flowers outside, cacti and various potted indoor plants, but I'm going to do some herbs this year too I think.

I have tons of plants indoors and love them. I don't have a yard big enough for a garden but if I did I'd have one. We grow herbs in the summer on our deck, and this year we are growing strawberries and tomatoes as well, so yeah I guess I have a green thumb :)

Yes! I love getting out in the garden. Fortunatley for me, the old lady who lived here before us loved gardening too and I keep finding things growing that I didn't know we had. The back end of my garden is covered with aqualegia, some of them are above waist height. Good job I like them.

I'm like Amanda, can kill a cactus. My mom is great with flowers but I didn't inherit that ability. And yes, bleeding hearts are gorgeous plants.

We honestly did. We're good with pets and kids, not so much plants.
I think my SIL knows me too well, this herb garden has a self watering feature in the pot so all I have to do is check it has water in it every now and then.

Ha ha, as long as you keep it out of the sun and water everyday, you'll be fine. I find it hard to believe you killed a cactus lol!

I've wanted one for ages, I know hubby hasn't been keen coz I'm so hopeless with plants.

We've got a few good spots round the garden for it and I'm determined that it survives so we can enjoy fresh herbs.

Maybe if I don't kill it hubby might let me have the miniature citrus trees I want

I don't, I can even kill a cactus!!

Anyway my SIL just bought me a kit to start up a herb garden. I can't wait to get it started but I don't know how long it will last.
