Do you have any hobbies besides your kids of course?

I Ilike to come online here!
I also love going 'out' doesn't really matter where, but somewhere out of the house! Like walking to the park, going to the library, walmart, target, grocery shopping! All that is a fun treat.
But none of that's really a hobby, I guess I don't really have hobbies! I used to drawalot but I don't much anymore cuz I'm too much of a perfectionist.

I draw. I have work in several little local galleries here, and 3 pieces in a national traveling exhibit right now. I've had one work on an international exhibit.



I also volunteer teaching art therapy at a local center for emotionally/socially disabled kids. The gallery sales and freelance commissions on my drawing, that I mentioned above, support this hobby, in addition to the Art & Soul fundraiser we do each year--it's a black tie gala with a silent auction where the kids get to sell a piece that they created. The funds go into the center so the kids feel like they really have a part in helping the center thrive :) Last year, 20 kids raised $62,000!! I'm SO proud of them!!!



I also like to read, but that is more my relaxing time, I guess I don't consider it a hobby for me.

I'm surprised by the number of people on here who, like myself, write. I also LOVE to read. It's more of an addiction than a hobby though. Writing too.

The frequency in which I do my other hobbies depends on how my fibromyalgia is acting. I like to do crafts; I like to bake, especially making bread from scratch. I like study theology, science, anatomy/physiology, archeology etc. I like to fish and hunt (yes I kill Bambi's great, great, great, great, great grandkids.) I like to garden as well, and I like to do flower aranging with flowers picked from the flower garden.

My most recent and most satisfying hobby is harassing Shannin;D

never considered my kid a hobby either! LOL

anything with arts and crafts! puzzles (both word and jigsaw), games (boardgames), anything that keeps the brain fit!

I like to read and I am learning how to sew, cooking is great and I love scanning through the cook books. When i do have spare time, which is rare...

karate, reading and i use to write frequently,songs(i also use to sing, my dad used to be in a temptations like group) poems, books, i have so much unpublished material i need to have a house next to mr.king..lol...i need to start working on that..lol. I have to have something besides being a mom or i would go crazy..and i see it happen.

Gardening. I grow veggies, herbs, perennials & flowers. No lawn for this girl. I don't have a lot of spare time, I work full-time, so I have to fit it in on the weekends. But fortunately my daughter loves mucking about to help and hubby waters while I put her to bed at night. Otherwise, I'm a bit of a political junkie and I love to read. These days I only finish a book when I have a vacation, otherwise, I stay up too late and turn into a zombie.

I am a big fan of arts and crafts. I have all sorts of creative projects going on, but most of all I love scrapbooking. I enjoy documenting our families memories and creating books for family and friends to look at.

I write novels - three completed and working on the fourth and fifth right now - I would love for my hobby to become my career - hopefully one day!
