If I cant do it in person, I prefer the phone. Texting is just a pain to me. Of course at work I always keep my facebook minimiized, in case one of the kids or my mom needs me, im available.

I think technology def has helped me stay connected because I hate the telephone for the most part, I rarely answer it and always screen.
COM keeps me sane! That is for sure!

Facebook to tell them I'm coming over. Long distance I ring their home phone and they call me back when they have time if they don't answer or aren't home. I text and call people who don't have facebook or aren't on when we have impromptu get togethers.

Family and friends: I prefer face-to=face, but we live far away from most of my family and friends, so I have to use technology more. I usually prefer to call, but for quick things that don't need replies I use email (or FB email). On the rare occasion I will text, but it's pretty much the last thing I'll do to communicate.
Now, my hubby's ex, on the other hand (the mother of our oldest daughter) is court ordered to only communicate with us via email (so we have everything documented all the time). She can call our daughter (since our daughter lives with us), but she is not allowed to engage us in conversation (nor are we allowed to engage her in conversation, but we never would anyway...).

Shannen,
Corresponding with the ex through email is probably a great way of avoiding "you said this, no I said this" bullshit!
I prefer texting, as long as it's not something too much for a text.

Email, texting and Facebook. I make phone calls when I have to, but avoid it as much as possible.
Technology has actually increased my level of human interaction cuz I'm interacting w/ people on some level where before.... I just wouldn't at all in any way. ;)

I prefer face to face or over the phone. If I can't do either, then i'll email.
I agree with Tamara, technology is ruining our human interactions.

depends what I need to say. If its something quick I will text, if it's important or too much to say in a text then I will call. I don't like leaving answer phone messages.
